    Mortgage System Administrator

     

    FUNCTION:  This position manages and directs development, maintenance, and quality assurance for enterprise Mortgage LOS solutions.  Develops and analyzes reporting that supports the operational, tactical and strategic objectives of the business line.  Provides management for the enterprise applications and systems, overseeing the Residential Mortgage group’s processes, systems, and applications.  Provides training to the Mortgage group for systems, including new system training and ongoing training, as well as training for underwriting guidelines.  Assists the Group Manager to establish and implement the group’s priorities, project deliverables and the road map for the enterprise applications and systems.  Leads and manages key projects associated with Residential Mortgage.

    ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    Initiates and implements all Mortgage LOS development. Coordinates integration with other Bank systems. 

    Ensures all service level standards are documented and achieved by working closely with service providers and operations staff to ensure performance uptime and maintainability of systems.  Makes recommendations to eliminate future production problems or service outages.

    Assists in establishment and implementation of the group’s system priorities.

    Conducts needs assessments, including analysis and documentation of business needs and requirements for assigned projects, business clients and/or systems.

    Responsible for consistent and ongoing education of Mortgage Development Officers and Underwriters.

    Coordinates and manages technology deliverables for clients, including developing the functional system design, writing functional specifications, developing procedures, flowcharts, reporting, screen definition, logical system flow, and implementation plans. 

    Keeps current on industry regulations and quality control requirements and ensures that Mortgage LOS is fully compliant.

    Acts as a liaison with other departments including IST and Risk Management. 

    Conducts new and existing user training for Residential Mortgage, including the coordination of documentation and training material.

    Leads group in quality and integration testing phases of systems, software, applications, and reports under development in order to identify and remedy potential problem areas.

    Will assume lead role in key projects and act as project manager in some initiatives.

    Assumes responsibility for all Mortgage LOS management.

    General: land other groups in Operations and Systems Division, to ensure between business priorities and department initiatives.

    Knowledge/Skills/Experience Requirements:

    Strong written and oral communication skills.

    Knowledge of laws and regulations relating to Mortgage origination.

    Work both independently and in a team-orientated, collaborative environment with management, technical employees, internal clients, contractors, and vendors.

    Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan and facilitate meetings, handle multiple projects, changing priorities and concurrent deadlines. 

    Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures and project lifecycle models.

    Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in management information systems, computer science, or equivalent. 

    Previous experience of residential mortgage business required, including strong knowledge of Underwriting standards and guidelines.  Previous experience as a Mortgage Underwriter strongly preferred.

    Knowledge of quality assurance best practices and methodologies for data integration, information services and application development.

    Physical Demands/Conditions Requirements:

    • General office environment.
    • Moderate lifting (to 35 lbs.) required.  Moderate reaching, walking, sitting and standing required.
