About Our Speakers:

Will Lund:  Maine Bureau of Consumer Credit Protection
Will Lund is Superintendent of Maine’s Bureau of Consumer Credit Protection, the state agency responsible for enforcement of Maine’s non-bank mortgage lending laws.  In addition, his office administers the state’s homeowner pre-litigation foreclosure hotline and housing counselor referral program.  New this year, the agency also regulates “property preservation” companies that are hired to enter, secure and winterize homes in foreclosure.  Superintendent Lund is a graduate of Cony High School in Augusta, Bowdoin College and the University of Maine School of Law.


David Kittle:  Mortgage Bankers Association
David G. Kittle, CMB is the Senior Vice President for Federal Solutions.He began his mortgage-banking career in 1978 with American Fletcher Mortgage Company. As a top producing loan officer, he moved to the management side in 1986. He opened his own company, Associates Mortgage Group, in 1994 selling it in 2006. Kittle is Senior Vice President of Federal Solutions for First American Mortgage Solutions specializing in risk mitigation and analytics, based in Santa Ana, CA. He manages the relationships with HUD, GNMA, The Federal Home Loan Banks and the GSEs. Kittle is past president of the Louisville and Kentucky Mortgage Bankers Associations. He is past chairman of MBA’s political action committee, MORPAC and former vice chairman of MBA’s Residential Board of Governors. He served on MBA’s Board of Directors from 2004 through 2010. Kittle also served as chairman of the Mortgage Bankers Association in Washington, DC, completing his term in October of 2009. Kittle’s principled, straightforward approach served him and the industry well. He testified fourteen times before Congress and led the industry during its most tumultuous period.

Marie Flaherty:  2015 President, Maine Association of Realtors

Marie Flaherty is the current President of the Maine Association of Realtors. Her real estate career is defined by education, involvement, and results. Marie’s professional designations include: GRI (Graduate, Realtor Institute), ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), and SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialist). She earned the exclusive Fine Homes Specialist designation through Prudential Real Estate, and accrued dozens of awards for her high sales production levels within the Prudential and Berkshire Hathaway nationwide networks. Marie’s clients appreciate her honest feedback, eye for design, and willingness to make upfront investments that result in sales. Marie is a past president of the Portland Board of Realtors and the Maine Real Estate Information System (governing body of the MLS), and was honored by her peers as Realtor of the Year in 2002. She is the 2015 President of the Maine Association of Realtors.


Rick Talbot:  Network Knowledge

Rick Talbot is a Senior IT Business Consultant with Network Knowledge. He is an IT professional with over 28 years of experience in business development, consulting, project & account management, directing and managing IT teams, network architecture design and enterprise help desk implementation and management. Rick has worked with fortune 500, 1000 and medium to small businesses over his career. He is a strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture and translate vision into goals, plans, and results.



Ruth Dillingham:  First American Title Insurance Company

Ruth Dillingham, Esq, is a special counsel at First American Title Insurance Company in the New England region. She works with lenders and title agents on issues relating to lending, compliance, or conveyancing practices. She is a frequent speaker for both attorney/agents and lenders. Ruth is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College (1975 Cum Laude), and Boston University School of Law (1978). She is a member and past president of the Real Estate Bar Association of Massachusetts (1996), New England Title Association (2009), The Abstract Club (2008-2010), and is co-chair of the Compliance Committee and past chair (2003) of the Massachusetts Mortgage Bankers Association.




Carrie  Cote:  First American Title Insurance Company

Carrie B. Cote serves as Maine Underwriting Counsel for First American Title Insurance Company. She joined First American Title in January of 2014 and has more than 14 years of experience in large and small bank regulatory compliance, real estate law, and legislative consulting. Carrie graduated from Wheaton College with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and biology and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Maine, School of Law. She is licensed to practice in Maine and Connecticut. Carrie is a member of the Maine State Bar Association (MSBA), the Maine Association of Mortgage Professionals (MAMP), Maine Real Estate and Development Association (MEREDA), American Bar Association (ABA), the New England Land Title Association (NELTA) and the American Land Title Association (ALTA). She is a frequent contributor for various industry newsletters and has authored and presented numerous banking compliance classes to industry professionals including bankers, Realtors and attorneys.


Sandra Gausch:  Patriot Community Bank

Sandra Gausch is the VP and Chief Compliance Office from Patriot Community Bank. She began her career in banking as a teller in 1977. Working her way up the ranks, she began her underwriting career with Merrill Lynch Equity Management, then Underwriting Manager/AVP with Citicorp Mortgage and then VP, Senior Credit Officer with Centerbank Mortgage. Sandie joined CFX Bank in 1997 as the Wholesale Lending Manager and later worked for BankNorth as the Mortgage Training Officer. She joined Merrimack Mortgage in 2003 as VP/Chief Compliance Officer, and in November 2014, joined Patriot Community Bank as VP/Chief Compliance Officer. Sandie is a Certified Mortgage Professional, a professional designation of the MBBA-NH. Sandie served as President to the MBBA-NH in 2010-11, and past Chair of the Education Committee. Currently, Sandie serves on the MA-MBA Board of Governors and is a member of the MA-MBA Compliance Committee. Sandie created and maintains the www.Tridmenow.com online forum dedicated to all things TRID.


David Pride:  SocialImpressions.net

David Pride is the owner of SocialImpressions.net. He is a professional speaker and presenter on the subjects of youth entrepreneurship, social media marketing, and using the internet to connect better with prospects and clients. His speaking career has taken him around the world, even to the Arctic town of Iqaluit, Nunavut where he spoke about using social media to grow local businesses and the economy.
