DAVID LEACH

David will be discussing "Scams Facing New Homebuyers"

DAVID LEACH - 30 year employee with the Maine Department of Professional and Financial Regulation, the last 16 working for the Maine Bureau of Consumer Credit Protection as a Principal Examiner.  Prior to his public service Leach worked for Key Bank of Maine.  With the State of Maine David has authored or co-authored 15+ consumer guides addressing the topics of: Mortgage financing, student loans, auto buying and financing, responsible credit card use, credit reports and credit scores, elder financial protection, millennial financial literacy, and the State’s anti-scam booklet called “Gone Phishing.”  David has undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Maine at Orono in Public Administration.  Since 2002 he has been employed as an adjunct professor in the University of Maine System, and teaches in the fields of: Banking, investments, personal finance, public administration, and marketing.  David is 6^th generation Mainer.
