Description:

Do you want to be part of a team that helps to protect consumers from predatory lending practices and ensure that creditors are treating Mainers fairly?  If you have experience working in a financial industry such as a bank, credit union, mortgage company, debt collection company, general finance, or other areas of credit, you could be considered for this entry-level professional government position.  The work involves the licensing and/or examinations of various companies and individuals that lend money and collect.  Some of the work may involve reviewing criminal background reports and credit reports, looking at consumer finance agreements, and ensuring consumers’ personal information is properly safeguarded.
